THE BIG BANDWAGON IN MY MIND - Monk at Town Hall 1959
Jason Moran, pianist, improviser extraordinaire and prophet 
of a new American jazz generation, has taken it upon himself 
to re-interpret a 1959 concert by Thelonius Monk using modern 
improvisation tools and media technologies. This too, then, 
is a live remix of a very special kind. Moran uses photos, 
video and audio material from 1959, but the basis of the 
performance is his trio Bandwagon, extended to include an 
English horn section. 
The European premiere of an extraordinary project.
